Parent Teacher Organization
We the PTO, are always grateful to the parents and the teachers who strive for academic excellence, as well as model the core values taught to all within the LLACS Community.
We are proud to serve in a community where the parents are so visible and willing to support the vision of LLACS with such enthusiasum. We the PTO are always willing to support our students on many levels, such as the back to school bags which are full of school supplies for the senior students when they graduate into their next level school experience.
We the PTO also advocate and become a voice for the students, i.e. discipline policies. We as a community are able to come to the table and at times, agree to disagree on some issues, while also offering incentives for positive student behavior (project turn-around). It is the PTO's responsibility to teach our LLACS students how to compromise, acknowledge, ultimately how to feel good abput themselves and how to adapt to change.
One of our great endeavors accomplished this year was our (title 1 parent involvement). There was such an out pour of support from the parental community; this made my job as the PTO president effortless. There are schoolwide trips year round, and we always have a parental presence of 5 or more, the trips are all educationally based, and all schoolwide trips pertain to the course studies involved.
