The science class for all grades at LLACS explores and studies Life, Earth and the Physical Sciences. Students get an understanding on how the world works around them and how they can interact with the environment around them without changing or affecting it. Students in the elementary grades begin to explore the Scientific Method; Questioning, Hypothesis, Experimentation, data Retrieval, Results, and Conclusion.

In the Middle School, students continue to apply the Scientific Method, while emphasis is put on learning and exploring Science with hands on activities and experimentation. Students are expected to apply their language arts skills to their science class; reading and writing effectively are an expected component to their grades.

The culmination of a student's Science learning is the yearly Science Fair. The Science Fair is a chance for students to show off their understanding of the Scientific Method, as well as it provides the opportunity for students to learn Scientific experimentation from their peers.
