At Lady Liberty Academy Charter School we provide our students with a stimulating standards-based mathematics curriculum that is designed to meet the diverse needs of our students so that they can realize their full potential.

Our program emphasizes conceptual understanding and procedural knowledge. This leads to relational understanding, which is critical for progress in mathematics in later grades. Our program provides learning opportunities for our students that are connected to previous mathematical learning and that are embedded in an authentic context, thereby allowing students to make meaningful connections to the real world.

Our pedagogical approaches move students from concrete experiences to more abstract thought, and as early as kindergarten, embed critical thinking, problem solving and collaborative learning within the learning environment.
