Established in 2001 by the New Community Corporation, Lady Liberty Academy Charter School serves students primarily from the Newark School District.

Our student population of 444 students in grades K to 8 is 89% African American, 10% Hispanic and 1% Asian Pacific.

The majority of our students qualify for free or reduced-fee lunch programs.

We offer an extended school year of 190 days and a longer school day beginning at 8:00 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m.
